Showing up for a very Davis tradition

Why the Zombie Bike Parade belongs in Iben’s community story.

Some community traditions are wonderfully specific to their town. For me, Davis has one that involves bicycles, costumes, and zombies.

In September 2026, I shared that I had participated in the Zombie Bike Parade since its first year in 2019 and that I was proud to be a sponsor. Watching something local grow is part of the fun.

It is also part of why I care about the place around a home. Community happens when people show up, contribute, and make room for a little imagination. This is a reflection on that involvement; check the event organizer’s current information when planning to attend a future parade.
