Have Iben guide you through a real estate transaction with a Davis point of view

A home here is more than a floor plan. It is the bike route, the greenbelt, the Wednesday market, the campus connection, the arts, the neighbors—and the numbers that make the decision work.

A practical mind, a generous community streak, and a long relationship with Davis

Iben first fell for Davis as a child visiting from Denmark. She returned at seventeen and has called Davis home since 1984.

Before real estate, she spent twenty years at UC Davis as a financial analyst. That background still shapes her work: pay attention, explain the tradeoffs, stay responsive, and keep complicated decisions moving without unnecessary pressure.

Her Davis life reaches well beyond real estate. She has served as president of the Kiwanis Club of Davis, helped launch the Friends of Watermelon Music nonprofit effort, supported local theatre, and developed the Davis habit of getting around by bicycle.

Wild Davis, close to home

A wildlife pond with a very Davis story

Northstar Park’s wildlife pond is named for former mayor Julie Partansky—an artist, musician, and environmental advocate remembered for projects including Davis’s dark-sky ordinance and the famous toad tunnel.

The City’s history of West Davis describes how Aspen’s retention basin was transformed into wetland habitat for migrating birds, with viewing areas and a bikeway alongside it. It is one example of daily infrastructure becoming part of the life around a home—not a flood-risk assessment for any individual property.

How Iben helps

Clear guidance for the move in front of you

Local knowledge matters most when it becomes useful: a better question, a clearer comparison, or a calmer next step.

01

Buying thoughtfully

Compare neighborhoods, daily routes, property condition, price, and the tradeoffs that do not fit neatly into a listing search.

02

Selling with care

Prepare the home, position it honestly, communicate clearly, and keep the process moving without manufactured urgency.

03

Reading the numbers

Separate a useful market signal from a dramatic headline and focus on the geography, timing, and decision that actually apply.

What does that market number measure?

Place, reporting period, property type, and the difference between asking prices and completed sales: read the context before applying a number to your move.
